How to Brew Hibiscus Berry Tea

A little care makes each cup your own. These recipes are starting points—adjust to your taste and follow your package and brewer instructions when they differ.

One cup

Use: 3 g loose tea and 12 fl oz / 355 mL fresh water at 212°F (100°C). Leaf size varies, so a scale is more reliable than a teaspoon.

  1. Place the tea in a roomy infuser in a heatproof mug or teapot.
  2. Add the hot water, cover, and steep for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Remove the infuser or strain completely. Let it cool to a comfortable sipping temperature.

Promise Table tip: Taste after 5 minutes; a longer steep can make the tart berry character more intense. For iced tea, brew with half the water and pour over plenty of ice.

For a stronger cup, use a little more tea next time instead of extending the steep indefinitely.

Brew it. Sip it. Make it yours.
