How to Brew Cold Brew Coffee
A little care makes each cup your own. These recipes are starting points—adjust to your taste and follow your package and brewer instructions when they differ.
A small batch of cold-brew concentrate
Use: 60 g coarse-ground coffee and 16 fl oz / 473 mL cold, good-tasting water, plus a clean covered jar and a coffee filter or fine strainer.
- Combine coffee and water in the jar and stir gently to wet all the grounds.
- Cover and steep in the refrigerator for 20–24 hours.
- Strain thoroughly; pass through a paper coffee filter if you prefer less sediment.
- For one drink, start with 4 fl oz concentrate plus 4 fl oz cold water or milk. Add ice and adjust dilution to taste.
Promise Table tip: This recipe makes a concentrate, not a full-strength ready-to-drink pitcher. Dilute before deciding whether you want a stronger batch. Keep it covered and refrigerated, and add milk only to the serving you are drinking.
Brew it. Sip it. Make it yours.
